Day 1: Beaune, Route des Grands Crus, Château du Clos de Vougeot & Nuits-Saint-Georges
Start your day with a 9:30 AM pickup at the Beaune Tourist Office. Visit a fabulous estate in the heart of Beaune and enjoy a wine tasting session with the owner. Experience the flavors of white wines like Saint-Aubin, Meursault 1er cru "les Charmes," and the renowned Grand cru Corton–Charlemagne. Have lunch at your leisure in Beaune, guided by recommendations from your guide.
Embark on a scenic drive along the Route des Grands Crus, making a stop at the famous Romanée-Conti vineyard, known for producing the world's most expensive wine. Enjoy the picturesque views of the Côte de Nuits as you pass through Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, and Vougeot. Learn about the Terroir and the meticulous steps involved in crafting the finest Pinot Noir. Make a stop at Château du Clos de Vougeot, originally founded by monks in 1098 and spanning over 50 hectares, it is now owned by more than 80 different owners. Conclude the day with a tour and wine tasting at a local winery near Nuits-Saint-Georges. Gain insights into the techniques that contribute to the exceptional quality of these wines. Finally, you'll make a last stop for a wine tasting at a local wine shop in Chambolle-Musigny. Located in the heart of Côte de Nuits, the Caveau des Musigny offers a selection of Burgundy wines for twenty years. Discover and taste family estates' wines in a friendly atmosphere. Drop-off is at 5:30 PM at your hotel.
