Visit Cantina Mazzarosa, Abruzzo's most historic winery, and enjoy a delightful picnic in the heart of its olive grove.
The winery's team will welcome you at the entrance of the historic Mazzarosa Winery, where you can pick up your picnic basket, containing everything you need for your picnic: wine glasses, placemats, corkscrews, typical local products such as cheese, cold cuts and bread, seasonal fruit, and a bottle of wine (for 2 people) of your choice between Cantina Mazzarosa's Trebbiano, Pecorino, Cerasuolo, or Montepulciano wines.
You will be able to easily reach the olive groves of the estate, where you will find places to sit and kick off your day of absolute relaxation! In addition, when you prefer, you'll be offered a tour of the historic winery, where you can get an overview of their winemaking processes, visit the cooperage and see one of the largest barrels in Europe, containing 1000 hectoliters! The guided tour of the winery is already included in the Picnic experience.

Picnic in the vineyard
Wonderful experience.
The cellar tour with its history and barrels was truly interesting.
There were three of us; at first, we were given one bottle with the picnic basket, then after pointing out that the description stated one bottle should be assigned for every two people, we were offered a glass each... Fair enough.
The wine was excellent and the selection of local cold cuts and cheeses was truly delicious, the only area for improvement: the portions of the products offered were a bit sparse considering the context. Overall, however, a wonderful afternoon.
