Discover Cantina Mazzarosa, the most historic winery in Abruzzo, with this special wine-tasting experience!

After a brief introduction to Cantina Mazzarosa's vineyards and olive groves and the winery's history, your tour will continue with a visit to the winery and the cooperage: here you will learn about the aging methods of Mazzarosa's wines and have the opportunity to see the largest barrel in Europe, of 1000 hectoliters!

Together with the knowledgeable staff, you will continue with the tasting. You will have the opportunity to taste 5 wines that represent the Abruzzo tradition, but always with an eye towards innovation, sustainability, and quality, accompanied by a tasty aperitif with bruschetta topped with their olive oil, sliced meats, and cheeses typical of the area, and ending with cantuccini abruzzesi cookies, perfectly paired with one of the most representative sweet wines of Abruzzo, Vino Cotto.

An excellent experience..
From the time we got there to the minute we departed, it was an inviting, informative and entertaining experience. Our host, Alicia, was absolutely fantastic. She was patient, very knowledgeable...,and her understanding of the english language was impressive. The winery, established in the mid 1800's, has SO much history in terms of the production and storage of wine. The founder was a master innovator. You can better appreciate it's transformation into a modern wine making operation.. The tasting room was set up beautifully, and the process of pairing wines with cheeses, meats and breads was definitely one of the highlights. The winery is in located in a beautiful area of the region with views of the olive groves and vineyard. The experience surpassed expectations. Thank you, Cantina Mazzarosa!

OK for beginners
Tour within a winery was a bit "official". Have been on other tours which were more exciting. Degustation was OK. Snacks were good as well. Cerasuolo wine was great surprise!
Would be good to get opportunity to try best wines of the cantina even with an extra payment. I believe that there are some hidden gems ;)

A pleasant discovery
We went to this winery on a Saturday morning, a welcoming place surrounded by greenery. We were welcomed and guided by Alessia who proved to be friendly and knowledgeable.
A pleasant tasting, with good wine and good food and a relaxing atmosphere.
Recommended experience.
Given the historical artifacts that the winery preserves, such as gigs and carriages, I would recommend arranging the places where they are located a bit, creating a small museum.
