Discover Cantina Mazzarosa, the most historic winery in Abruzzo, with this special wine-tasting experience!
After a brief introduction to Cantina Mazzarosa's vineyards and olive groves and the winery's history, your tour will continue with a visit to the winery and the cooperage: here you will learn about the aging methods of Mazzarosa's wines and have the opportunity to see the largest barrel in Europe, of 1000 hectoliters!
Together with the knowledgeable staff, you will continue with the tasting. You will have the opportunity to taste 5 wines that represent the Abruzzo tradition, but always with an eye towards innovation, sustainability, and quality, accompanied by a tasty aperitif with bruschetta topped with their olive oil, sliced meats, and cheeses typical of the area, and ending with cantuccini abruzzesi cookies, perfectly paired with one of the most representative sweet wines of Abruzzo, Vino Cotto.

Un viaggio magico tra racconti e degustazioni
In seguito c'è stata una degustazione in cui il bravissimo e preparatissimo Edoardo ci ha raccontato in maniera eccellente tutto ciò che rappresenta il vino Mazzarosa per poi farcelo degustare tra la simpatia e la convivialità di tutti i presenti!

Wine Tasting for the 1st time!
Sara our guide was lovely and knowledgeable. She made each wine she descibed very interesting with how it was made and which food best go with it. We all had many questions which she answered confidently.. We live in England but my family are from Abruzzo and my father makes wine ever year importing grapes from the Montepulciano range. His red wine is excellent, particularly with a meal, but it was fabulous to taste various wines from the region and find out how they were made using different methods giving it particular tastes.
It was also interesting to learn of the history of the cantina.
The whole experience was thoroughly enjoyed and I will be recommending Cantina Mazzarosa to others.
In fact we have plans to return with 2 other parties staying at our B&B this summer.
None… it felt very relaxed with beautiful surroundings!
