Poggio Amorelli welcomes you to their estate in the heart of Tuscany to enjoy a typical lunch with wine pairing.
After a guided tour of the Poggio Amorelli winery, you will take a comfortable seat either inside or on their panoramic terrace and enjoy a full Tuscan lunch, consisting of:
- mixed Tuscan appetizers (crostini with organic spreads, sliced meats, and bruschetta)
- one first course of your choice (Poggio Amorelli specializes in handmade pasta with porcini mushrooms or fresh truffles, they also serve penne with tomato or arrabbiata sauce)
- a second course consisting of a cheese platter with assorted pecorino accompanied by honey and organic jams, buffalo mozzarella or fresh burrata; as a side dish fresh vegetables with balsamic vinegar
- homemade cakes, cantucci and vinsanto for dessert
- coffee and grappa
The experience also includes, of course, the tasting of 6 different wines (Spumante Vermentino Extradry, Vermentino IGT also produced in Maremma in the estate of Poggio Barbone Chianti DOCG, Chianti Classico DOCG, Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, Supertoscano Oracolo IGT and Vinsanto).

Great day at Poggio Amorelli!
We enjoyed a tasting of five different wines, each paired with delicious food — they were very generous with both the wine and the accompaniments. Our host explained each wine in detail, including its origin and the perfect food pairing, which made the experience even more engaging.
We also had the chance to visit the wine storage area, which was fascinating.
Overall, it was an exceptional experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Tuscany!
The only suggestion I would add is to include a visit to the vineyards as part of the experience — seeing how the grapes are grown would make the visit even more enriching.

6 wines paired with the best of Tuscan fare, and a host Sommelier who brings the whole experience together. Absolutely brilliant.
We especially enjoyed the Rose' Spumante, with the very fine bubble and soft golden
pink hues. The Chianti classico was the best of the reds and was an excellent pairing with the tasting plates of local cheese, honey, apricot jam and a 20 year old balsamic vinegar. Delicious.

Short but detailed and interesting private tour of the wine cellar, so much delicious wine to try (about 7 glasses each), all with excellent guidance from the somellier.
Then there was a feast of delicious Tuscan food to come with it, and the view was gorgeous too.
We weren't rushed and spent around 3.5 hours on the terrace slowly enjoying the food and wine.
Would recommend to anyone going to Tuscany to visit.
Do the food and wine experience together and midday was the perfect time, as we weren't the first there but had almost a private dining experience on the terrace.
