Über das Weingut und die Weine

Monte del Frà winery was founded in 1958 by the brothers Eligio and . Claudio Bonomo. The name originates in 1492 when the property belonged to the order of Friars Santa Maria della Scala in Verona, who had already cultivated vineyards on the land. Today it is managed by the next generation Marica, Massimo and Silvia, with teamwork that has introduced our wines to more than fifty countries worldwide. Monte del Frà represent the most notable regional wines in Verona: Custoza, Lugana, Valpolicella and Soave. All wines are produced with our own locally grown grapes using sustainable practices in the vineyards and innovative tecniques of fermentation in the winery, in order to minimize sulphites contents. The result are extremely elegant, refined and balanced drinking wines. “Extreme high quality in a glass to celebrate life everyday” this is the family’s philosophy about fine wines. Hospitality is also extremely important at Monte del Frà. Visitors are welcome to visit all year long with choices of various fun and informative activities such as: incentive games, cooking classes, blind tastings and Nordic walks through the vineyards.

The rolling hills that surround the Lake Garda, a land shaped by glaciers, and the Mediterranean climate offer a suitable environment for the production of fine vines. In both the estates ( Monte del Fra in Custoza and Lena di Mezzo in Fumane), we grow a wide range of grapes, including Garganega, Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, and Chardonnay. We also cultivate fruity Trebbiano, Cortese, and Incrocio Manzoni, in combination with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Riesling. With hard work and love for wines, we produce rich-quality red, white, and rose wines. We also produce sparkling and dessert wines, all under the finest appellations of the Veneto region.
