Discover Tenuta Baràc's wines with a tour of our winery located in Alba, in the heart of the Langhe wine region.

The experience begins with a tour of the vineyard, an unforgettable experience during which you'll have the opportunity to reconnect with nature. Tenuta Baràc comprises more than 25 hectares of land in the heart of the Piedmontese Langhe, 12 of which are vineyards where we practice organic farming. Here our sommelier will tell you about the history of our vineyards and the various stages of vineyard work.

After the vineyard tour, you will be led to the winery, a modern building where traditions meet technology. Inside the winery, you will discover the different stages of the winemaking process, from grapes to wine. You will be able to admire the state-of-the-art equipment used in the various transformation processes and discover the area dedicated to aging in oak barrels.

Finally, we will lead you to our tasting room, located inside our farmhouse and surrounded by a large garden. Here our sommelier will guide you to discover some of Italy's finest wines, that have made the Langhe area an excellence across the globe. The tasting will be accompanied by a small platter of local salami. You can also choose to pair the wines with a selection of local cheese and cold cuts.

You will taste 4 wines, including our Barolo DOCG and our Barbaresco DOCG.

An experience to try
The estate is set among the hills and vineyards of the Langhe, an oasis of tranquility. We were welcomed by the owner, who is young and passionate about the work passed down to her by her family. She showed us the vineyards and the wine production area; at that moment the workers were putting the grapes into the pressing machine, so we witnessed the first part of the process. She explained how they produce their wine, then we returned to the estate where our tasting was waiting for us, which we chose to accompany with cold cuts and cheeses. The platter was generous and the products were excellent. We tasted one of their whites (which we later purchased), the Nebbiolo, the Barbaresco, and the Barolo. We also purchased the Nebbiolo and the Barbera, which I wanted to taste as an extra. In the meantime, the characteristics, ideal pairings, and production areas of the various wines were explained to us.
A truly wonderful and interesting experience that is an absolute must-do during a trip to the Langhe, because wine and its production are an essential part of the culture and history of the area.
The estate is also a farmhouse.
Also worth trying, in addition to the ones proposed, is the Barbera.

Vineyard visit and guided tasting
We visited Tenuta Baràc in August with a friend and the experience was great from start to finish. The tour starts in the vineyard with a view of the Langhe hills, and then moves to the small cellar where the barrels are kept. The guided tasting included their Barbaresco, as well as other local wines that made us appreciate the different potential of Nebbiolo, accompanied by a board of local cold cuts: a great way to truly get to know the wines of the area. Warm hospitality and clear explanations even for those who are not experts. Recommended for anyone looking for an authentic food and wine stop in the Langhe. If we are in the area again, we will definitely be back!
