Lovely wines and a lovely location. With the Longboard wines for those that wish to drink now and Bellbrae Estate wines for those with a cellar or developed pallet. There is a great range of both white and red wines that are sure to please, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz a Shiraz Rose and even a Sparkling Shiraz! With several local awards for their wine, Bellbrae Estate is recommended and we suggest it be consider it as the first on the list with a view to work your way back the Bellarine or Geelong City.

Remote and absolutely beautiful

The Texas wine and cheese pairing was fantastic. It was an educational experience on both wine and cheese, and the opportunity to sample wines from 3 winemakers in one sitting was awesome. In an area saturated by wineries, this experience set apart due to the educational component and the pairings. Incidentally, they do wine and chocolate pairings as well! When we arrived, there was live music and the place was hopping, obviously a popular stop.

I have never been a victim of blatant racism until I went to 4.0 cellars. I walked up with my girlfriends and ordered a glass of wine with no problem and then my Hispanic husband walked up and the bartender's demeanor completely changed.She went from friendly and ready to serve me to cold and ignored me. I stood there confused and my husband finally came up to me and told me they wouldn't serve me and I needed to leave. I was so confused because we didn't do anything different than our friends but they not only wouldn't serve us but wanted us to leave. It was like being transported back to the 60's. I asked what we did wrong and the bartender wouldn't say she just said we had to leave. I asked if our friends had to leave and she said no just my husband and I. We did nothing and certainly nothing different than hanging out with our friends.

We went to 4 different wineries on our visit and this was our favorite! Jimmy (I think) was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The wine tastings were fantastic! Beautiful facility. Definitely going to visit again.

What a beautiful property on the road through to Gnomesville and the Wellington Dam. A menu which rotates to season and a rural location which provides a perfect escape from the rigours of the journey - not that that is too hard, the road is good and the scenery is great. Thoroughly recommend their Rose and that is also my overall impression - recommended. Oh, and James Halliday rates their wines too.
