I went to this winery a long...

I went to this winery a long time back, 2005 to be exact, and am glad to see it's still thriving. Excellent wines and so great to see a British business doing well in this arena.

We had a wonderful few hours here....

We had a wonderful few hours here. We were a group of four and had arrived early for the tour so decided to enjoy a cup of tea and bacon sandwich in the cafe. The staff were extremely friendly and the food delicious. We then had a tour round and were given interesting facts about the house and gardens. We then were shown some of the vinyard and were told the history of wine making in England. The wine tasting was taken in the lovely sunny gardens, the wines were delicious and the talk very knowledgeable. We all learnt something new. A lovely way to spend a few hours.

A proper vineyard run by a passionate...

A proper vineyard run by a passionate husband and wife team (ex raf so I'm biased). I've bought wine here, and taken part in a days picking, lovely vineyard in the heart of rural Oxfordshire. The white Crispin is lovely and crisp, the Bacchus a traditional English wine, the red reminds me of a rustic French semi claret. You can almost taste the Wallingford soil!
