Another local winery where we have a local wine club membership. Beautiful environment. They also have an outstanding brunch buffet on Sunday's that is outstanding. You will probably need reservations though since it is very popular.

Fun place to wine taste. Big indoor and outdoor area makes for plenty of room. Wines are great and the servers are super nice and usually generous with the wine.

Would be, cool venue to see your favorite smooth jazz artist perform up close, only to some day be made better in this rather intimate setting. But dammit if I didn't get the feeling that the people at Thornton, purposely only sought to maximize their profits by packing it's guests in like sardines, even going so far as to incorporate the use of plastic tie wraps on those totally uncomfortable, half broke down, once upon a time there was cushion in these poor example, thereby forcing everyone to rub elbows, and practically sit in each other's laps for an entire concert, bunched too close together chairs. Not cool! However, there was an area on higher ground that seemed to be reserved perhaps only for the elite One Percenters, which allowed for those whom would be entertained at a premium, to do so by table side, along with a commanding view of the concert stage, and ample elbow room to abound, but again, by the look of things, that particular area of the venue damn near hearkened back to the ole separate but equal Jim Crow era. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening's performing artists. On a lighter note, the sangria wasn't bad, in fact, it was quite popular. Just don't try to take a sip, else you'll spill it, bumping elbows with your neighbor on either side of ya. Loosen up the seats a lil will ya Thornton, and let us spread out somewhat better.

We love the Friday night jazz series, especially the Neil Diamond Tribute Concert, but we don't appreciate being automatically charged a 20% tip for our bottle of wine and then be expected to pay another tip on top of that. Beware of this deceptive practice, especially with less than superb service. The tip is included in the bill when it is brought to your table. Then, when it's time to sign your credit card receipt, you'll see

Worst service ever! We sat 45 minutes and didn't even get a glass of water. I asked 3 different servers for water and never got it. Nicole took our order after a 25 minute wait and never returned. I went to speak to the manager and she told me too bad. The manager didn't even care. Don't ever go there.

$21 cheeseburger (not a typo) at Thornton Winery-- while the musical artist one stand over is selling a reasonably priced $10 music CD.
A complete ripoff with Thornton selling the most expensive cheeseburger in the state of California. Shame on you for outrageously gouging your customers!!
Great live jazz concert venue otherwise and above-average wines.
