Stopped here with some friends for some wine sampling and a picnic in a reserved area afterwards. Had a really good time and the views were beautiful. Would love to visit again.

I cannot believe it took me this long to realize I could leave a review on the site. My husband and I spent our honeymoon in San Francisco just about a year ago. While we were there, we decided to take a day trip to Napa & see what great winery we could stumble upon. It didn't take long before we wound up at Rutherford Hills. Upon arrival, we were notified the next tour would be in ten minutes. We couldn't have timed it any more perfect. The tour was wonderful and the grounds were absolutely beautiful! We loved our guide but sadly (1 year later) cannot recall the gentleman's name. We were served the yummy chocolate covered blueberries & Port wine at the end of the tour. Next, it was time to make our purchase of those blueberries and also our favorite Malbec from the day. Now, one year later as I am trying to decide what to get for my new husband, it dawned on me that our favorite wine from this trip would be perfect and that lead me to your site. Great wines, wonderful tour and nice facility. We toured the facility while tasting and then bought a few bottles and had a picnic overlooking the Valley. Oh....and we bought several bottles to ship home.

Wine tasting section a little closed in. Staff friendly enough. Picnic tables make the place however. Reminds one of Tahoe with all that wood.

You want find a more beautiful place to taste excellent wines and enjoy the beauty of the valley. And the Round Pond folks are gracious kind and extremely helpful. One of the best!!!!!!

The tall palm tree-lined driveway that led to the entrance gives the visitor a feeling of openness and elegance, which is exceeded by the beauty inside the winery and the grounds. We had wine and food pairings on the verandah overlooking the grapevines, in a very comfortable setting. The selection of wines was superb, and they also offered a great variety of their own olive oils and vinegars, both original and flavored. My husband and I were treated as VIP guests by all the staff. It was fun to walk around the grounds to the small farm in the back and to the very old olive tree grove and enormous agave plants. This was among my very favorite wineries to visit in Napa.

This was our second stop in Napa. What a wonderful and enjoyable visit. After learning from our first stop, we called ahead and scheduled a last minute tasting. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess who gave us a sample to enjoy in their garden while we waited for a table. Once seated, a very personable and knowledgeable host guided us through their wine and gave us a detailed history and geography lesson of the whole Napa valley. We were not given the hard sell as at our first stop, so the entire experience was great.

Great wines ( especially the reserves ), great folks.. definitely try the reserve tasting.
