Sobre la bodega y los vinos
The history of Caves Velhas can be traced back to Adegas Camillo Alves, S.A., which dates back to the 19th century, in 1881, when João Camillo Alves began his wine trade. He began by selling wines produced in the famous wine-growing region of Bucelas, an area of excellence for the production of white wine, much appreciated not only in Portugal but throughout the world. The descendants of João Camillo Alves joined the company in the mid-20th century, expanded the business and created Caves Velhas, making the company one of the most important in the market.
The brand is an umbrella for Romeira, from the Lisbon region, Bucellas, from the Bucelas sub-region and Catedral, from the Dão region.
