"Essence" weekend in Naples: 2 nights at Vesuvio inn

Your two-night stay is at Vesuvio Inn, located within the Sorrentino Vini estate in Boscotrecase. You will be surrounded by vineyards and olive trees in the heart of the Vesuvius National Park, with the freedom to explore the area at your own pace.

This package includes one complete wine experience at the estate, leaving the rest of your time free. You can explore the Vesuvius National Park, hike the trails to the Gran Cono, or visit the nearby archaeological sites of Pompeii, Oplontis, and Herculaneum. The city of Naples and the Sorrento coast are also within easy reach, allowing you to combine sightseeing with quiet walks through the volcanic countryside.

The centerpiece of your stay is the Vesuvius Wine Experience with Lunch at Sorrentino Vini. The experience begins with a guided visit through the estate's vineyard, led by Carmelo or another member of the hospitality team. Afterward, you will settle into the panoramic indoor tasting room for a 4-course lunch paired with four of the estate's organic wines.

Your tasting will start with Dòrè, a sparkling white made from 100% Caprettone grapes using the long Charmat method. You will then sample two Lacryma Christi Superiore del Vesuvio DOC wines: the Vigna Lapillo Bianco, a blend of Caprettone, Greco, and Falanghina, and the Vigna Lapillo Rosso, made from Piedirosso and Aglianico. The tasting concludes with Don Paolo, a structured red made from Aglianico. Together, these wines offer a full expression of Vesuvian viticulture.

The lunch menu is rooted in the flavors of Campania, using products from the estate's garden and local suppliers. You will start with an appetizer of salame, capocollo, grilled organic vegetables, homemade casatiello, Provolone DOP, and vegetable meatballs. This is followed by a first course of pasta with Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP, a vegetable parmigiana, and a homemade dessert.

Each morning, you will enjoy breakfast at Vesuvio Inn, featuring a selection of sweet and savory items including fresh bread, cured meats, cheeses, eggs, homemade cakes, and estate jams.
