Tenuta del Gelso is one of the estates of Tenute Mannino di Plachi, a flagship for Etna wines.

For this experience the staff of Tenute Mannino welcomes you at Tenuta del Gelso. Here your experience will begin with an introduction to the winery and to the winemaking history of the Mannino family, closely linked to Etna’s territory, a land full of charm and traditions.

After the winery, you will visit the ancient Palmento of Tenuta del Gelso, where you will hear stories of how was a regular day in the life of a winemaker in the early 1800s, especially during the most important period of the year, the harvest.

Your wine tasting will take place in the suggestive setting of the ancient Palmento of Tenuta del Gelso. Here you will be served four Etna DOC labels of Tenute Mannino di Plachi. The tasting will be paired with a selection of typical Sicilian gastronomic specialties of their production and a tasting of their own extra virgin olive oil Oro di Plachi. The knowledgeable staff of Tenute Mannino will guide you through the tasting and share with you the philosophy behind their production.
