This Wine and Olive Oil tour of Italy's Euganean Hills will take you to the heart of the hills where you will be surrounded by breathtaking views of olive groves and vineyards, while you discover the fine local wines and olive oil.
On our first stop, we will visit an olive oil mill, where the young owners will show us first-hand the art of oil production and engage us in an exquisite tasting of extra virgin olive oil.
The second stop of this Wine & Olive Oil tour in the Euganean Hills will take you to one of the best wineries in the Euganean area where, after a visit to the cooperage and vineyard, a fabulous wine tasting awaits you. You will have the opportunity to taste excellent wines, from whites to reds, paired with local cheeses.
During the wine-tasting experience, you will discover how the particular volcanic origin of the soil and the favorable climate of the Euganean Hills allow the cultivation of a variety of grape varieties: Serprino, a biotype of the Glera vine, is the "volcanic" version of Prosecco, but also Pinot Bianco, Garganega and Chardonnay among the most popular whites, not forgetting the presence of Manzoni Bianco. Among the reds, the Bordeaux varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Carmènere found their place. Between a stroll through the vineyards, a visit to the cooperage, and several wine tastings, the knowledgeable winemaker will guide you through the experience to capture all the expressions of his best wines.

You will depart from Venice S. Lucia Station and travel by train to Terme-Euganee Montegrotto independently (train ticket included). At Terme-Euganee-Montegrotto station you'll be picked up by minivan by your guide.
