Join us for an immersive Wine Experience at Bodegas Valdelana in Rioja Alavesa. Explore the Garden of Varieties and Winery Museum before indulging in a guided wine and olive oil tasting.

Our guided tour of the Winery Museum consists of four parts, all located along an underground route within our 15th-century cellars.

Ethnographic Museum: Contains remnants from various historical periods, from the Jurassic and Paleolithic to the Christian era and the spread of winemaking culture on the peninsula. Visitors can admire artifacts dating back 7000 years, as well as restored tools used by ancient hominids.

Wine Museum: Explore an exhibition of early 20th-century photographs showcasing Valdelana winemaking families and other villagers from Elciego. Each photo is accompanied by authentic 19th-century tools related to the depicted winemaking tasks, offering visitors a glimpse into winemaking processes from a century ago.

Tunnel of the Senses: After passing through a chapel from 1583 and our underground vineyard, the tour concludes in the "Tunnel of the Senses," featuring five restored ancient wine tanks and four fermentation lakes. Visitors can appreciate the colors of wine, and experiment with aromas, temperatures, and more—a delightful sensory experience.

Wine and Olive Oil Tasting: The tour culminates in a guided tasting of four of our most award-winning wines and olive oil. Taste a white wine made from Malvasia grapes, a young wine, a crianza, and an author's wine. Learn the art of olive oil tasting, sourced from arbequina olive trees nestled among our vineyards.
