Very friendly customer service... but I was...
Very friendly customer service... but I was hoping for more atmosphere. They are in an industrial business center and there are no vineyards in sight. I consider a winery to have their vineyards and maybe they do, otherwise they are just a wine processing center. I guess I'm spoiled by CA wineries. I understand they have some great awards which I applaud. For me I was hoping for more atmosphere and would suggest that to the company. I think the curtain is hokey and they should consider having separate room for tasting with more atmosphere. I prefer non fruity wines which seems to be there expertise as well as brandys. But their comparable wines to a Melot or Cab were far from close to those of CA.

Great winery. We go in every few...
Great winery. We go in every few weeks to try the new wines for that month. The staff is very friendly and knowledge.

We felt at home the moment we...
We felt at home the moment we walked in. Very nice owners who gave us a free private tour. We learned firsthand what it takes to own and operate a winery. We even spearheaded a movement to put the big barrels of wine on the market (300 bottles in one barrel..whoah). Hopefully we can strike a deal with the owner. Great guy! Did we mention the $5 wine tasting which consisted of 8 wine tastings and we got to keep the glasses. Where else can you get that much for $5 ?!?! Check this place out and support a local winery!

We had my brother's engagement party at...
We had my brother's engagement party at The Shelburne Winery and it was delightful! A beautiful backdrop for an event, and a lovely family team to work with - the evening was a smashing success! They employ eco-concisous growing methods and it's really interesting to learn about how they grow grapes in such a cold climate. Delicious local wines and a very worthwhile stop while in Shelburne.

Went for a friend's wedding. The bar staff was the only plus. Made the experience difficult for Bride and Groom. Not a good private party spot at all
