Taste some samples that are pretty great. Edgar is great host. Go when it's not busy to be able enjoy and not be rushed. We got to mix outside the selection boxes. Great place to stop and Drink some fermented fruits

I have been visiting Woodrose since 2011...

I have been visiting Woodrose since 2011 and a wine club member for that long too. Mike and his staff do everything they can to ensure you're well taken care of and educated on what you are tasting. They have the best selection & variety of any winery along 290 in the Fredericksburg/Stonewall area. They bring the wine to your table to taste, pair with great foods on a variety of occasions, and are extremely attentive to their guest. Great people, great location, great wines!!!

I don't understand some of the other...

I don't understand some of the other reviews. This winery is a regular stop for us when we're in the Hill Country as are several others along the 290 Wine Trail. We've never had a bad tasting; perhaps a wine we didn't care for, but not a bad wine. Maybe my taste is just not as educated with regard to wines as I've only be drinking and tasting wine for over 40 years in eight states and four continents. We don't visit wineries on weekends, so service is rarely a problem; we've always had service which was never less than satisfactory. I have and will continue to recommend this winery to family, friends and people I meet.
