Celebrated sister's birthday here. A reservation was helpful because the 7 of us got our own personal tasting bar. The server for the tasting was fun. Wine was great, and we purchased a few bottles to take with us!

I have enjoyed EVERY visit! Great staff, great wine maker, great set up and oh yeah great wine. Only wish I could get out there more often. Bring a fishing pole, the kids will love it.

Website says tasting room closes at 6, showed up at 5:32 and they tell us wine tasting ended at 5:30. Then as we are leaving a man walks in and starts a tasting for another group. It seems the four lazy female employees are the problem who were sitting behind the counter just drinking glasses of wine. We stayed for a glass of wine but will never return again with such poor customer service.

Desert rose winery is one of the most down to earth and interesting wineries in the region. Absolutely loved the wine, properties and owners. Can't wait to go back!!

Awesome experience! You have to ask the staff about the history of the owner and how the winery came to be. Staff was sincerely friendly and were not pushy or stuffy. The environment was family friendly and fun to boot. The wine was very good, though I have a preference to the chambourcin and their reds.

Love this place! Desert Rose Ranch & Winery offers a wide selection of wines and each one is delicious. I have been to many wineries throughout Virginia, and Desert Rose Winery is my favorite one.

Reasonable wine tasting, nothing stood out to me.

We were there for Crepe Sunday, which happened to be on Valentine's Day. I think they only have crepes twice a month, so check the website before you go. We made reservations online. The tasting room was gorgeous with all the tables set with linen tables cloths and the fireplace roaring. There were both savory and sweet crepe offerings. We had the Salmon crepe, the mixed vegetable crepe and for dessert, we split a banana nutella crepe! All the crepes came out to our table hot and freshly made. Several people nearby had ordered the fresh fruit and cheese plate. They looked delicious (the cheese plates, not the people haha). We were primarily there for the wine, of course, and enjoyed a bottle of the Cab Franc, which is our favorite DelFosse wine. We had a great experience.
