If you like Viognier, that seems to...
If you like Viognier, that seems to be their specialty with the whites and you'll love it. Regardless of your taste in wine though, this winery has one of the best views I've seen at a Virginia winery. Barrel Oak is a close second, but this view was unmarred by houses, etc. Just gorgeous views of the valley - will definitely be coming back for the foliage season.

My husband & I(& our 16yr old...
My husband & I(& our 16yr old Chihuahua) stopped by here on our way home to NYC. What a pleasant surprise! The wines were wonderful. We usually do Sonoma/napa trips for wine tasting but this place was just as good as many wineries we visited in California. Definitely a must for people who enjoy good wine!!

Sweet little local vineyard. Jim was amazing, we had a great time hearing his stories! We loved the Steel Chardonnay, definitely one to check out!

Wonderful winery - the oak barrel chardonnay...
Wonderful winery - the oak barrel chardonnay is definitely one of the best that I've tasted. Janice was very knowledgeable and even gave use a little tour of the small winery and talked in depth and passion about the winery. Overall - very impressed! I think we had a better time at this small vineyard compared to the fancy vineyards we've visited in Napa!

My whole experience was a nightmare, but...
My whole experience was a nightmare, but here are the highlights:
The person pouring behind the bar (the owner Mr. Obrien) was an egocentric clown drenched in cheap cologne (a huge winery faux pas EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD). Everything that came out of his mouth sounded rehearsed and like it was a sales pitch. Within the first few sentences out of his mouth, I caught him in a lie,

The wine was marginal. Had the cheese...
The wine was marginal. Had the cheese and meat platter which was a joke. Way over priced. The view is nice. The staff friendly enough.

Nice selection of wines, beautiful view, friendly...
Nice selection of wines, beautiful view, friendly atmosphere. The owner is great, very knowledgeable. I like the no kids policy, kids don't belong at wineries anyways. If you feel you need to bring your kid with you to a winery then you probably shouldn't be going in the first place. The owner put those policies in place for a reason and its his winery, his decision. Don't tell people not to go here because you couldn't bring your kid. Use some common sense!
