Here is what's in store for you
Enjoy a private full-day wine tour along the Armenian Aragatsotn Wine Route!
The tour departs in the morning from your hotel or accommodation in the direction of the Aragatsotn Province. The wine produced in Aragatsotn is mainly from the vineyards located south of the Aragats and Arteni mountains. Our first stop will be the “Armenia Wine” factory for an introduction to Armenian wine, followed by a guided tour inside the factory - including the brandy production units, aging cellars, and souvenir shop. The tour ends with a tasting of 4 premium wines; a sparkling wine, a white, a red, and a vintage.
Our next stop will be the Wine History Museum nearby where you'll learn about the millennia-old history of winemaking. Here you'll enjoy a tasting of fortified wine. Lunch will take place at the winery's restaurant where you can enjoy a 3-course meal with special dishes inspired by wine and grapes, such as lamb aged in wine.
After lunch, the tour continues with a visit to Van Ardi Winery – a family-run boutique winery located in the ancient winemaking region of Aragatsotn, nestled between the mountains Ararat, Aragats, and Ara. Here you'll enjoy a wine tasting with a spectacular view of Van Ardi's vineyards, including a glass of white, a red, and a rose.
To conclude the day, we will visit the Armenian Alphabet Monument and Saghmosavank monastery complex - dating back to the 13th century - for a little history, before returning to Yerevan.
