Geneva Chocolate & Patisserie Tour with a Local Guide
Here is what's in store for you
Discover Geneva in a deliciously different way with the Geneva Chocolate & Patisserie Tour, a guided walking experience designed for lovers of chocolate, desserts, and refined Swiss flavors. Led by a knowledgeable local guide, this tour combines city exploration with tastings from some of Geneva’s most renowned chocolateries and pastry shops.
Over 2 hours, you’ll stroll through the city center and stop at at least four carefully selected locations, each offering a unique sweet specialty. The experience is relaxed, social, and immersive—perfect for travelers who want to understand Geneva’s culinary soul through its world-famous chocolate culture.
Your journey begins with the Noble du Rhône, a signature chocolate bar created by one of the oldest chocolateries in Geneva. Inspired by the iconic Swiss mountains, this elegant bar features creamy fillings coated in dark or milk chocolate, setting the tone for a journey into Swiss chocolate excellence.
Next, you’ll taste the Pavé de Genève, literally “Geneva paving stone.” This cube-shaped chocolate, dusted with cocoa powder and filled with a soft, creamy center, pays homage to the cobblestones of Geneva’s Old Town and is a must-try local specialty.
You’ll then sit down in a traditional chocolaterie to enjoy a rich chocolate cake, showcasing different textures and intensities of chocolate. This indulgent pastry is a highlight for true chocolate lovers and reflects Geneva’s long-standing passion for gourmet desserts.
Another stop introduces you to the Amandes Princesses, one of the most iconic Genevan chocolate treats. Crunchy almonds coated in a generous layer of chocolate and cocoa powder, they are addictive by nature and a proud local tradition.
The tour concludes with a comforting cup of hot chocolate, enjoyed in a secret, atmospheric location. With several varieties to choose from, this final tasting celebrates Switzerland’s mastery of chocolate in its purest, most comforting form.
Throughout the tour, your local guide will share stories about Geneva’s chocolate heritage, its historic chocolateries, and how Swiss craftsmanship has shaped global chocolate culture. With small groups (2 to 12 people), the experience feels intimate and social, encouraging conversation and shared enjoyment.
Come with a sweet tooth and leave with unforgettable memories of Geneva’s finest desserts.
