Owner-Led Artisanal Wine Tasting with Food Pairings at Cantina Sorres in Sennori
Here is what's in store for you
In the heart of Sennori, Sardinia, you'll be welcomed into Cantina Sorres' cozy wine shop by Laura, the owner. The experience is a relaxed conversation rather than a scripted presentation, giving you a chance to explore the winery's philosophy of sustainable viticulture and its deep connection to the Romangia landscape.
Sennori is a hillside town in the historic Romangia area, in the province of Sassari, in northwest Sardinia, set just a few kilometers inland from the Gulf of Asinara coast, between the sea and rolling vineyards. It's this sun-drenched, sea-facing landscape that shapes the character of the local wines.
Here in Sennori Laura will guide you through a tasting of four of their artisanal wines. You'll begin with a fresh Cannonau rosé before moving on to three reds. The selection features Pensamentu, the estate's flagship Cannonau di Sardegna DOC and a Gold Medal winner at Grenaches du Monde, and, if available, S'Affidu, a limited-edition Cannonau-Merlot blend with only about 400 bottles produced. As you taste, Laura will share the stories behind each bottle, the character of the vintages, and the influence of the local climate.
Each wine is served with a generous board of products from small local producers: artisan cheeses like pecorino sardo, cured meats such as Sardinian ham, vegetable spreads, jams, olives, and handmade bread. The small-group format encourages interaction, creating a personal way to discover Sardinian wines. Children are welcome to join!
