Nicknamed the "Little French Tuscany", Southern Beaujolais is warm and radiant, with its golden-hued limestone shining in the sun. These iron-rich stones reflect the light beautifully across the lush green vineyard landscapes.
Your excursion begins with a stop in the heart of the Golden Stones area. Here, you’ll learn about the origins and characteristics of this unique vineyard region and be introduced to its deliciously fruity wines.
You’ll then pass through picturesque villages surrounded by vines on your way to visit two local wineries. During your time with the winemakers, you’ll be immersed in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Beaujolais region. Expect to taste a variety of wines, primarily reds, but also whites and possibly rosés.
It’s the perfect introduction to the wines of Beaujolais – and hopefully the beginning of a love story with the region!
