Umbrian Identity Wine Tasting at Bussoletti in San Gemini
Here is what's in store for you
Your tasting at the Bussoletti begins in the estate's wine shop, where you will be welcomed by Martina. An enologist and member of the hospitality team, Martina will guide you through the history of the estate, its connection to the Umbrian territory, and its winemaking philosophy.
The experience is a guided tasting of four wines that moves from the freshest expressions to more complex labels. You will sample two whites and two reds, all focused on native grape varieties: ColleOzio, a fresh and mineral Grechetto Umbria IGT, and ColleMurello, a Trebbiano Spoletino Umbria IGT, both from single vineyards. The tasting then continues with two expressions of Ciliegiolo Narni IGT: the young and approachable Asla, aged in steel, and the more structured Brecciaro, from a single vineyard and aged in both steel and large French oak barrels.
To accompany the wines, you can select an option that includes a platter of local products. The smaller platter features organic artisanal pecorino from a local dairy and traditional cured meats such as salami. The larger platter adds Umbrian fried specialities and a trio of local legumes.
