Private Full-Day Champagne Tour with Taittinger & Family Grower Visit from Reims

Your full-day private tour begins when your guide, Raphael, picks you up in Reims or Épernay.

The morning starts with a visit to Champagne Taittinger, one of the region's most renowned houses. A guide from the estate will lead you 18 meters underground into the Gallo-Roman chalk cellars, or 'crayères', a UNESCO World Heritage site that includes the crypt of the former 13th-century Saint-Nicaise Abbey. The visit concludes with a commented tasting of three to four of Taittinger's signature cuvées, showcasing the elegant, Chardonnay-driven style of this independent family house.

Around midday, you'll have free time for lunch in Reims, with your guide ready to recommend their favorite local restaurants and brasseries. The afternoon continues with a visit to the Notre-Dame Cathedral of Reims, the historic coronation site for most of France's kings. Afterwards, you'll stop among the vines of the Montagne de Reims, where Raphael will explain the terroir, pruning techniques, and the annual cycle of the grapes.

The day's final stop is at a family-run winery. Here you will meet the producer, see the entire winemaking process from grape to bottle, and taste three of their distinct champagnes. At the end of the afternoon, your guide will drive you back to your hotel.
