If you are a winelover and you are in the area, you must absolutely go and have lunch in Avignonesi. The food is great, the view is marvelous and you have the opportunity to taste all the wines of avignonesi. When you have tasted all the wines, it gives you a good idea of the potential of Tuscan wines. Don't miss

Stella: De Tomtom had geen idee waar het was, zorg dat je het weggetje richting Gello niet mist anders rij je 30 minuten over een slingerend 1-autobreed 2-richtingsverkeer onverhard bospad; doodeng in het donker! Mensen v/d boerderij/appartement zijn hartelijk, dat maakt de oude vieze douche niet goed. Door het dorp zelf rij je in 2 seconden heen er is weinig te doen/te beleven. Appartement is vreselijk gehorig, je hoort als je in bed ligt de buren gewoon praten. Inrichting simpel, basis= behelpen. Als je van landelijk houdt: (everzwijn gezien!): Goede uitvalbasis om Pisa, Florence, Volterra en Cecina (strand) te bezoeken. Rome is 3,5 uur rijden. Toscane is prachtig en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar maar wij gaan volgende keer toch voor een goed hotel. Pieter: In the middle of nowhere! Het is zonder navigatie onmogelijk te vinden en je moet ervan houden om door de bergen te rijden. Het stikt er van de insekten. Sono anni che frequento Max e Liana Masotti in quanto persone splendide che producono vini ottimi e unici, soprattutto il CAVALCAONTE, ottenuto da uve di barbera sottospecie alba rossa: rosso rubino intenso, vivo e brillante dalla corposità elegante e fine, caldo di alcol e lunghi aromi di frutta rossa matura e piacevole retrogusto floreale: di classe e avvolgente. Altro grande vino, il bianco MUFFIT da uve di malvasia che ricorda magnificamente l'innata aromaticità del vitigno; secco e di grande struttura, molto fine ed elegante: carissimi, complimenti per queste due perle, senza dimenticare i vari SANGIOVESE in purezza, come il 735, riserva del 2013, immenso carattere e tipicità innata di questo fazzoletto di terra che è Bertinoro. Inoltre, come si conviene, "... dulcis in fundo ..." l'ALBANA DOLCE: impareggiabile e molto, molto accattivante!!!! Complimenti ancora carissimi Max e Liana, continuate su questa impervia strada, ma di grandi soddisfazioni per quelli come noi che assaggiano e gradiscono solo vini di qualità dall'innata genuinità e tipicità. The place is a little too far out of town to walk (about 1 .5 miles) but the owners here are sooo nice. They remembered us after only 2 visits and they are just really friendly people. And the place is beautiful too. They were also very accommodating for pets.
