Collio DOC Wine Tasting and Winery Tour at La Rajade in Dolegna del Collio

Your experience at La Rajade takes place in the Judrio Valley, in the eastern hills of Friuli Venezia Giulia near the Slovenian border. The winemaker will welcome you and guide you through the estate, sharing their approach to viticulture and winemaking.

The visit begins with a walk through the vineyards on the south-eastern slope of Petrus Hill. Here, you will learn about the influence of the local terroir, from the characteristic 'ponca' soil of sandstone and marl to the effects of vineyard exposure, gentle breezes, and temperature shifts between day and night.

The tour continues inside the winery, where the winemaker will explain the production process and the techniques used to transform the estate's grapes into the final wine. To conclude, you will take a seat in the tasting room for a guided tasting of 5 Collio DOC wines. The selection includes representative varieties of the territory, such as Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, and Sauvignon Blanc. 

The wines are paired with traditional Friulian specialties, such as Montasio DOP cheese and local salami, for a final taste of the region's flavors.
