Experience the authentic flavors and winemaking traditions of Podere Marcampo, surrounded by the unique landscapes of the Balze and Calanchi Natural Park near Volterra.

The experience begins with a guided walk through the vineyards, where you’ll discover the history of the family winery and the characteristics of this remarkable territory. The visit continues inside the winery’s cellar, dug 5 meters underground, where Claudia will guide you through every stage of production, from vineyard work and harvest to fermentation, aging, and bottling.

You will then move to the panoramic tasting room to enjoy a tasting of at least 4 wines alongside Podere Marcampo’s extra virgin olive oil. The tasting is accompanied by local cured meats, homemade bread, and pecorino cheese from the Balze Volterrane area.

To conclude the experience, a small surprise awaits you.

Great Experience
It was a great experience. First, we learned a bit about winemaking and were shown the cellar and the vineyards. Then we were able to taste 6 wines and were served cheese, cold cuts, olive oil, and bread to go with them. Isabella was great and also gave us tips for tasting the individual wines.
The landscape and the view while tasting are also very picturesque!

Tasting with a friend
Summing it up in a single word: perfect. The place is wonderful, less than 10 minutes from Volterra with a view of the Volterra Balze. The wines, from rosé to white to red, are excellent, well paired with local products, and the owners are welcoming, kind, and professional. We are just left with the desire to return in another season to see different colors, perhaps staying overnight given the opportunity.

Very nice and cozy experience
We had a great experience at Podere Marcampo. The tour itself was quite short, but the wine tasting lasted much longer than we expected, and we got to try more wines than originally announced. The family was incredibly attentive and shared lots of interesting insights about the wines and the winemaking process. They also served delicious snacks and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the vineyard at our own pace. Highly recommended!
