Private Barolo & Langhe Wine Tour with Sommelier, from Turin
Here is what's in store for you
Your private tour of Piedmont's UNESCO-listed wine country begins in Turin, where you'll meet your personal guide, a wine educator with DipWSET and Italian Sommelier qualifications.
The first stop is a family-run winery in the Roero region. After a walk through the vineyards to understand the local terroir, you'll visit the winery and cellar. The experience continues in the tasting room with a guided tasting of five wines: a white Roero Arneis followed by 4 red wines, such as Barbera d'Alba, Nebbiolo d'Alba, Roero Rosso, and an aged Barolo DOCG. The tasting is paired with local cheeses, cured meats, and focaccia.
The journey continues to the village of Barolo for a stroll through its historic centre, complete with an additional glass of Barolo at a local wine bar.
The final stop is at a winery in Barbaresco. Here, you'll tour the estate and enjoy a second tasting of four wines: Nascetta (a rare grape variety for a unique white wine), Dolcetto, Barbaresco DOCG, and a Barbaresco Riserva DOCG. Weather permitting, the tasting is held on the panoramic vineyard terrace; otherwise, it takes place inside the cellar or tasting room.
