A pleasant experience that will teach you about Primitivo di Manduria and its history at the Soloperto Winery.

Visit the winery where Primitivo di Manduria DOC was born and where its specifications were first written!

First, you will visit the museum that preserves the first bottles in the history of Primitivo di Manduria and also their ancestors. Then your experience continues with a tour of the production area and a visit to the Barrique cellar.

Finally, you will take a seat in Soloperto's tasting room to participate in a guided tasting of 4 wines. The wine tasting will be accompanied by some snacks such as typical taralli crackers.

Siamo stati in questa cantina e l’esperienza è stata semplicemente indimenticabile. I vini sono straordinari: complessi, eleganti e sorprendenti ad ogni assaggio, capaci di raccontare la passione di chi li produce. La gentilezza e la professionalità del personale ci hanno fatto sentire accolti come vecchi amici, guidandoci con attenzione e sorrisi in ogni momento della visita.Il museo della cantina è una meraviglia: ogni angolo racconta storia e tradizione, e le botti aperte, ormai utilizzate per altri scopi, aggiungono un fascino unico e suggestivo all’ambiente. Passeggiare tra le sale con la persona che ami, assaporando questi vini e respirando la cura con cui tutto è curato, è un’esperienza che rimane nel cuore.
Una cantina da vivere, non solo da visitare: bella, autentica e piena di emozioni.

Der Besitzer hatte nicht wirklich Interesse, seine Weine zu präsentieren und vorzustellen.
Wir haben die Tour in Englisch gebucht und haben dann vor Ort nur A4 Blätter in englischer Ausführung erhalten.

Abbiamo vissuto una bellissima esperienza presso le Cantine Soloperto, che rappresentano la storia stessa del Primitivo di Manduria. In cantina si respira l’aria della tradizione, dell’orgoglio e della dedizione di una terra così tanto legata allo sviluppo del prodotto enologico. Bravissimi! Ah, dimenticavo: fantastici vini!

We had booked a tour of about 2 hours in english because my husband does not italian. Our guide could not speak english, so I had to translate. Not a big issue, but it was a pity for my husband because he missed Some information and I have booked it especialy for him. The tour and tasting was only 1 hour. We were a bit disapointed. The price was ok.

Nice family owned business

We had a lovely experience in this vineyard. I started with a tour through the building, where we got to see how everything was made. Some interesting historical facts were shared with us and we learned new things about the DOC label. We did not go outside during the tour, which would have been nice. Also, the tour was a bit shorter than I am used to: it lasted about 20 to 30min. But the main things were mentioned. After the tour, we got to taste 4 wines: a white wine/ rose and 3 red wines. Paired with the wines, there was some cheese and sausage on the table. The sons of the owner were able to tell us something about each wine.
What I really liked about this place, was that it is a family owned business. This made it a warm place to be in. We bought 4 bottles each :-)
