Private Douro Valley Wine Tour from Porto with Tastings, River Cruise & Lunch
Here is what's in store for you
Your day begins in Porto, where you will be picked up for a scenic 1h30 drive into the heart of the Douro Valley. You will fall in love at first sight with the silence and the breathtaking views.
Your first stop is a breathtaking viewpoint near Casal de Loivos, offering one of the most impressive panoramas of the terraced vineyards and the river below. You will then visit a small, traditional olive oil and wine producer in the same area, where you’ll enjoy a guided explanation of local production methods, followed by tastings.
After lunch, you will head to the riverside village of Pinhão for a 40‑minute river cruise, offering a peaceful and unique perspective of the valley’s dramatic landscapes and terraced vineyards.
The journey continues deeper into the Douro Valley with a visit to a larger wine estate located near São João da Pesqueira, Quinta de Ventozelo. Here, you will enjoy a relaxed regional lunch featuring typical Douro dishes paired with premium wines.
After lunch, you will drive by the national road 222 toward the Peso da Régua area to visit a family‑run winery, Seara D'Ordens, where you will enjoy your final wine tasting of the day, discovering additional Douro and port wine styles in an intimate setting.
Following this last tasting, you will begin your comfortable 1h30 return drive to Porto, enjoying the changing landscapes as you leave the Douro Valley behind. This brings your full‑day experience to a close, combining culture, wine, scenery, and the authentic heritage of one of Portugal’s most remarkable regions.
