Private Vienna Wine Tour with Vineyards, Cellars & Austrian Lunch
Here is what's in store for you
Your private tour of Vienna's wine culture begins when your guide collects you from your hotel. You'll travel by private vehicle to Stammersdorf, one of the city's traditional wine-growing districts.
Your first stop is a working winery for a guided visit to the estate and its traditional cellar. Here, you'll have your first tasting of six Austrian wines, including regional specialties like Wiener Gemischter Satz, as well as Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, and Pinot Noir. The exact selection may vary with the season.
Next, you'll head to the hillside Ried Ulm vineyard on Nußberg. You can enjoy panoramic views over the city while sipping a glass of local wine. The tour continues with a relaxed, family-style Austrian lunch. Shared plates feature local specialties, which may include Tafelspitz, Wiener Schnitzel, or Austrian dumplings, accompanied by two more local wines.
The day concludes in central Vienna with a visit to an atmospheric historic wine cellar. After exploring the collection of Austrian wines, you'll have a final tasting, bringing the total for the day to 14 different wines. Your local guide will share insights into Vienna’s wine heritage throughout the tour.
