Full-day Prosecco Wine Tour with light lunch from Verona
Here is what's in store for you
Set off from Verona for a full-day wine tour through the Prosecco and Colli Berici region, an area of rolling hills extending south of Vicenza between the Adriatic and the Alps. Traveling through the Veneto countryside, you'll discover local winemaking traditions, historic estates, vineyards, and small villages while visiting two carefully selected wineries.
Your first stop is an award-winning winery set within a historic 16th-century estate surrounded by vineyards and a small riding school. Explore the estate and vineyards before discovering how its organic Prosecco is produced from 100% Glera grapes using the Martinotti (Charmat) method. The winery's hospitality team will guide your tasting of 4 organic wines, introducing you to the characteristics of the wines and their production. Depending on the winery and conditions, the tasting takes place in the dedicated tasting room or underground barrel cellar.
Lunch is served at the winery, traditionally under the historic barchessa overlooking the vineyards when conditions allow. The menu showcases simple regional specialties and seasonal ingredients, with a typical selection of local cured meats and cheeses, followed by a local pasta dish such as tortellini, gnocchi, or a similar seasonal preparation. The meal concludes with sbrisolona and dark chocolate and may also feature the estate's extra virgin olive oil.
In the afternoon, continue through the countryside and stroll through a small village known for its prehistoric caves, walking paths, and water mills before reaching a second family-run winery. Here, the winery's hospitality team will introduce you to the estate and its approach to winemaking. During a second guided tasting of 4 organic wines, you'll learn more about the differences between wines produced using the Martinotti (Charmat) method and the Classic Method.
Across the two winery visits, you'll taste 8 organic wines in total, combining wine discovery, local food, historic settings, and the rural landscapes of the Colli Berici before returning to Verona.
