The Historic Stables: Private Amarone Vertical Tasting & Lunch at Vantorosso in Valpolicella
Here is what's in store for you
Your private tour at Vantorosso is hosted by Vanni, the owner, or Anna, the winery's sommelier. They will welcome you and share the philosophy and craft behind their wines, located in the Valpolicella Classico area.
The experience begins with a guided visit to the historic barrel and barrique cellars, where you'll learn about the aging techniques that define one of Valpolicella's most important wines. The tour continues in the veranda or the dedicated tasting room, depending on the season, for the main event: a vertical tasting of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG. You will taste four different vintages, offering the opportunity to compare how the wine evolves over time. As you taste each vintage, Vanni or Anna will explain the differences in aroma, structure, elegance, and complexity that emerge during the aging process.
The tasting and lunch take place either on the veranda or in the dedicated tasting room, depending on the season and weather conditions. The wines are paired with a selection of local specialties, which may include sopressa, speck, peppered pancetta, prosciutto, Monte Veronese Mezzano, Amarone-aged Monte Veronese, and Piave cheese. The experience also includes artisanal mostarda, traditional Amarone risotto, dark chocolate, bread, breadsticks, and still and sparkling water.
Reserved exclusively for private groups of six participants, this experience offers an intimate opportunity to discover the remarkable aging potential of Amarone.
