Guided Wine Tasting of 5 Collio Wines at Paraschos in San Floriano
Here is what's in store for you
Your experience begins in the winery's tavern, where you'll be welcomed by either Jannis or Alexis Paraschos. Seated around the table, you'll be guided by one of the brothers through the history and evolution of their family's winemaking. The tasting is structured to show the development of the Paraschos philosophy.
You will start with two historic labels, wines that have been part of the winery's range for over a decade.
Next, you'll taste two wines that represent more recent concepts and approaches to winemaking in Collio. The tasting concludes with a red wine, completing a journey through the winery's past and present. The five wines are selected by your host from the current range of white, orange, and red wines, depending on availability.
The selection may feature wines from the Collio DOC and Venezia Giulia IGT designations, made from varieties like Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, and Merlot. Water and bread are served alongside the tasting to accompany the wines.
