This two-day journey invites travelers to experience the seasonal beauty of the Douro Valley!
On the first day, meet at S. Bento Station, where local guide Albano Capela will provide a warm welcome, details, and tickets. A scenic train ride to Pinhão brings you to the heart of the Douro, arriving at 16:20, just in time for a one-hour Rabelo boat trip. At 18:00, transfer to the cozy Hotel Casa das Padeiras in Favaios for an overnight stay on a half-board basis, with check-in at 18:30 and a delicious, full-course dinner at 19:30.
The second day begins with breakfast, followed by a classic car tour through Favaios Wine Village, stopping at scenic viewpoints to admire the autumn foliage. At 10:45, enjoy a visit to Adega Cooperativa de Favaios with a Moscatel wine tasting. A vineyard drive leads to Quinta da Avessada at 11:30, where the grape harvest season’s aromas fill the air. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a Moscatel in the Quinta's gardens, surrounded by vibrant, autumn-colored vineyards.
At 12:20, tour the historic Enoteca Quinta da Avessada, where the traditional winemaking process is explained, capped by a Port wine tasting. A full lunch is served at 13:00, featuring regional dishes and local stories. The day continues with a visit to the Bread and Wine Museum at 15:00, followed by a 15:45 transfer back to Porto.
