Live an unforgettable experience with this 3-hour tour that allows you to admire the Bay of Naples from the top of Mount Vesuvius.
The tour departs daily from Naples, after a 2nd stop in Pompeii to pick up additional passengers. Your tour will begin with a drive up to the mountainside. Along the road, you will stop at a local restaurant with breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples where you'll enjoy a tasting of at least 2 different types of local wines, such as the typical Lacryma Christi and Caprettone, accompanied by a series of typical cold and hot dishes ( depending on what the area offers in the various seasons).
After the tasting, the tour will continue until you reach 1000 m above sea level where your guide will help you purchase the tickets to visit the Vesuvius crater. From the ticket office, you will walk to the actual summit of the volcano to see the crater and listen to the explanation from the professional National Park guide. You will have the opportunity to admire the summit of Monte Somma (1133 m) and, to the right, the cone of Vesuvius (1281 m), both separated by a valley, called Valle del Gigante.
After 2 hours of free time to reach the summit and take photos, it will be time to head back to the parking lot, where the driver will pick you up and take you back to Naples.
