Vineyard Tours & Wine Tasting at Murace Wines in the Byzantine Stilaro Valley

We joined this excursion with our family of four and absolutely loved it. The visit to the monastery, the Jeep tour through the vineyards, and the wine tasting complemented each other perfectly, creating a unique, diverse, and thoroughly enjoyable experience. What made it even more special was the warm and personal atmosphere of this small family-run business. We especially enjoyed listening to the stories shared by Valentina and her father, whose passion, hospitality, and knowledge made the experience truly memorable.

Bivongi a quaint village in the Calabrian mountains made a picturesque setting for an insightful venture into local history and wine production.
A visit to a local monastery on the way to the vineyards was a bonus.
We spent time at the vineyard learning about the grapes and the process used to produce the wines., the views of the valley and surrounding countryside not to mention the jeep ride there were breathtaking.
Back at hq in Bivongi we were treated to 3 wines all of which were excellent and a wonderful platter of Calabrian cheese , meats and vegetables which complemented the wine rather well.
The owner of the vineyard Cosimo and his daughter Valentina were attentive throughout the tour and answered all our questions., in all splendid hosts.
