Warm and family-friendly wine tasting
Olaf welcomed us warmly and accompanied us through the evening. The winery is beautifully situated with a great view of the landscape. We really liked the wines and with every wine there was a small dish – everything homemade and crafted with a lot of love. We had a great evening! A winery run with love and passion
Cantina Fausta Mansio is one of only three remaining wineries in Syracuse. When all other winegrowers grew only citrus fruits for economic reasons, the current owner's father began growing Sicilian Moscato against the trend. The son inherited the passion with which his father pursued this. Everything he had to tell about the cultivation and the wines revealed precisely this. The Cantina is a small family business with two employees. Accordingly, the estate is idyllically situated on the edge of olive groves. We thoroughly enjoyed all five wines we tasted and the carefully prepared bites that accompanied them, although our personal preferences were for the white wines (Moscato and Grillo).
