Discover some of Puglia's most loved delicacies together with a local guide in Polignano a Mare, the seaside gem that gave birth to the famous singer Domenico Modugno, known for his iconic song "Nel blu dipinto di blu".
During the tour, you will get the chance to breathe in the Mediterranean soul through the typical alleys of the old town, stop to admire the view from the majestic terraces overlooking the sea, and photograph the beautiful scenery of the old town, such as the painted quotes and characteristic corners, the Chiesa Matrice and the Piazza Dell'Orologio.
The tour will be accompanied by a series of tastings of typical local products, which have made Polignano and Apulia famous throughout the world:
- The traditional "Panzerotto" with mozzarella and tomato sauce - which is also available in many variations;
- Focaccia, one of the most typical specialties of the Apulian tradition;
- The historical caffè speciale - a world-renowned coffee variant created by the genius of Mario Campanella;
- A glass of local wine accompanied by burrata cheese and capocollo di Martina Franca, a slow food presidium since 2000.
