3-Wine Tasting with Gourmet Conservas at Bosque de Matasnos
Here is what's in store for you
Your experience takes place at Bosque de Matasnos, a family-owned estate located at nearly 1,000 meters above sea level in Ribera del Duero. The property is surrounded by a private 220-hectare forest, a few minutes from the historic village of Peñaranda de Duero.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a member of our team, who will lead you on a guided walk through the estate's secluded, high-altitude vineyards. The tour continues inside the winery and the barrel-aging cellar. Here, your guide will explain the history of the estate, its sustainable philosophy, and the winemaking techniques used. The winery is completely self-sufficient, generating its own electricity and drawing its own water.
The visit concludes in El Txoko de Matasnos, a wooden space with an open kitchen and long communal benches overlooking the forest. In this setting, you will have a guided tasting of three wines:
- Petit de Matasnos (Chardonnay, Viognier & Verdejo – Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León)
- Capote (Tempranillo – Ribera del Duero)
- Bosque de Matasnos Etiqueta Blanca (Tempranillo, Merlot & Malbec – Ribera del Duero)
The tasting is paired with a selection of premium Galician gourmet conservas from La Curiosa. You can choose from specialties such as scallops (zamburiñas), razor clams, or mussels, with one tin served for every two people. For children, a soft drink is provided.
