Tasting of 6 Wines & Gourmet Seafood at Bosque de Matasnos in Ribera del Duero

In the highlands of Ribera del Duero, Bosque de Matasnos welcomes you to a family estate surrounded by Mediterranean forest and vineyards planted at around 950 metres above sea level. A member of the winery team accompanies you through the vineyards, production areas and barrel cellar, introducing the estate’s history, its high-altitude environment and its self-sufficient approach to energy and water.

The experience ends at El Txoko de Matasnos, a warm wooden space with an open kitchen and long communal tables overlooking the forest, where you taste six wines.

Three are regular highlights of the flight: Petit de Matasnos, a white blend of Chardonnay, Viognier and Verdejo; Capote, a red based on Tempranillo; and Bosque de Matasnos Etiqueta Blanca, a red blend of Tempranillo, Merlot and Malbec.

The other three wines change according to cellar availability, giving the winery the freedom to introduce some of its smaller-production labels. Possible selections can include Bosque de Matasnos Edición Limitada, a structured red based on Tempranillo, Merlot and Malbec; Syrah de Matasnos, a 100% Syrah red with a fresh, expressive character; Blanco de Matasnos, a white made from Chardonnay, Viognier and Verdejo; or Tempranillo-Malbec, a red combining the two varieties. The exact three wines are selected by the winery for your visit, so the tasting can vary while always remaining a six-wine experience.

The tasting is paired with gourmet Galician seafood conservas from La Curiosa, such as scallops, razor clams, or mussels, with one tin served for every two people.
