Here is what's in store for you
The Tour includes the guided visit of the Medieval Cellars and the Ancient Rooms of the farm, the Vinsantaia (XVII cent.) with the explanation of the wine, the extravirgin olive oil making process and Castello Sonnino history.
A journey of discovery that takes you to the heart of our agricultural estate: from the historic cellars to the special place where the vinsanto is made, taking in the oil store and the secret rooms of the Castle, through to the wine bar premises where visitors will be offered excellent tastings of wine and oil accompanied by outstanding food products.
The tasting is a tasteful experience to help you to get to know the estate and the territory of Montespertoli: under the guidance of one of our experts you will be accompanied on a tour of taste through the history and flavour of the Sonnino wines and oil, surrounded by the delightful atmosphere of a country house.
We have different options to choose for the wine tasting experience:
Basic Wine Tasting: 3 Sonnino wines, accompanied with house baked bread
Gourmet Experience: Wine tasting of 3 Sonnino wines paired with our "KM 0" products of mixed bruschettas, selection of salami, cheese with honeys and jams, Vinsanto and Cantuccini
Taste & Lunch: Wine tasting of 3 Sonnino wines paired with our products of mixed bruschettas, selection of salami, cheese with honeys and jams, Main Course, Vinsanto and Cantuccini
Tuscan Lunch Experience: Wine tasting of 3 Sonnino wines paired with our "KM 0" of mixed bruschettas, selection of salami, cheeses with honeys and jams, Main Course, Second Course, Vinsanto and Cantuccini
More over you can also decide to add a special "Castle Tour" which includes the exploration of the Clock Tower, the Courtyard, the State Rooms and Italy's Prime Minister Baron Sidney Sonnino's World War 1 Historical Archives and Library for 15 €. Castello Sonnino conducts cellar tours at 12 noon and 3 p.m.

La degustazione è stata più che positiva, accompagnata da una chiara spiegazione sulla tipologia del vino e delle sue caratteristiche. L'accompagnamento del cibo mi ha leggermente deluso per 2 motivi: quantità appena scarsa ed abbinamento con il vino rosato (secondo me per quanto è corposo quella tipologia di vino, meritava un accompagnamento dai sapori più forti e decisi: formaggi stagionati, crostini a base di carne ecc.)
- Rivedere abbinamenti con vino rosato (mio gusto personale....)
- Rivedere quantità di assaggi su vino rosso e dessert
