Wine tasting at Castello Sonnino
Here is what's in store for you
Castello Sonnino rises above the gentle hills of the Florentine countryside, offering the atmosphere of a historic estate where wine has been part of daily life for centuries. The property has belonged to the same family for generations, and its vineyards, courtyards and stone buildings create an immediate sense of authenticity and calm.
The Tour includes the guided visit of the Medieval Cellars and the Ancient Rooms of the farm, the Vinsantaia (XVII cent.) with the explanation of the wine, the extravirgin olive oil making process and Castello Sonnino history.
A journey of discovery that takes you to the heart of this agricultural estate: from the historic cellars to the special place where the vinsanto is made, taking in the oil store and the secret rooms of the Castle, through to the wine bar premises where you will be offered excellent tastings of wine and oil accompanied by outstanding food products.
The tasting is a tasty experience to help you to get to know the estate and the territory of Montespertoli: under the guidance of one of our experts, you will be accompanied on a tour of taste through the history and flavour of the Sonnino wines and oil, surrounded by the delightful atmosphere of a country house.

Authentic and a must-visit!
A beautiful discovery
Everything perfect
So-so
The description states an experience duration of about 1 and a half hours, but in reality, alas, in 35 minutes we had already finished the tour and the tasting.
I wanted to try the gourmet experience which, in addition to the wine tasting, included local products such as local cheeses, honey, and cured meats, but we were only served a plate of crostini. That's fine too, we certainly weren't there to have lunch but to do a tasting, I'm just pointing it out because the description of the experience said something completely different.
I can't say anything about the wine, it was excellent and there's a lot of work behind it to make it so.

Enchanting
After the visit we had a light lunch with a tasting of 3 wines and typical Tuscan dishes. Everything was excellent.
