Follie di Durello Wine Tasting & Local Platter and Winery Tour at Giannitessari in Alpone Valley

Your visit to Giannitessari begins with a welcome from Sara, a member of the family who personally guides you through the estate. For visits in English, another family member joins to assist.

Sara will lead you through the winery's original structure, into the underground cellars where the Lessini Durello Metodo Classico wines age, and through the fascinating cooperage. During the tour, she'll share the history of Giannitessari and the traditions behind its winemaking. The tour concludes on the panoramic terrace overlooking the Alpone Valley and the surrounding vineyards.

Here, your guided tasting includes a flight of six estate wines:

- Alpone Blu Spumante, made from Durella and Garganega
- Lessini Durello Brut Metodo Classico
- Rosé Metodo Classico, made from Durella and Pinot Nero
- Lessini Durello Extra Brut Metodo Classico
- Lessini Durello Riserva DOC Dosaggio Zero
- Duello Passito di Durella, a Veneto Bianco Passito IGT.

The wines are paired with breadsticks and a platter of cheeses and cured meats sourced from historic local producers, La Casara in Roncà and Caseificio Gugole. The selection includes Monte Veronese DOP, Gratta e Magna cheese, Sopressa di Brenton De.Co., and artisanal coppa.

The terrace has a permanent covered area, allowing you to enjoy the view regardless of the weather. On colder days, the tasting is held inside the spacious and welcoming tasting room. Children are welcome on the tour and will be served water and breadsticks; a dedicated platter with a non-alcoholic drink is also available as an add-on.
