Private Tasting with Cooking Class & Lunch at Cantina Bussoletti in San Gemini

Your private experience begins at Cantina Bussoletti, where you'll be welcomed by Martina, an enologist on the hospitality team. She will guide you through the story of the winery, founded by Leonardo Bussoletti, and its focus on native grapes like Ciliegiolo.

The tour starts in the production cellar and continues to the barrel room, where the Ciliegiolo wines mature in a mix of wooden and concrete vessels. Weather permitting, you'll also take a short walk through the vineyards to see the vines up close. The visit then moves to the kitchen for a hands-on cooking session with the estate's chefs. You will learn to prepare homemade pasta and its sauce using traditional local techniques.

Afterward, you'll take a seat in the winery's panoramic room overlooking the Umbrian hills for a four-course lunch or dinner. The meal begins with the pasta you helped prepare, followed by dishes crafted by the kitchen. The menu changes with the seasons, but a typical meal includes an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, your homemade pasta with roasted cherry tomatoes, a main course of pork shoulder with potatoes, and tiramisu for dessert. The meal is paired with a guided tasting of five estate wines: two Umbria IGT whites, ColleOzio Grechetto and ColleMurello Trebbiano Spoletino, and three Narni IGT Ciliegiolo reds, from the young Asla to the single-vineyard Ràmici.
