5 Magnificent Experience (Daniele)Contrade di Taurasi - Cantine Leonardo is a family-run winery located in the magnificent landscape of Taurasi, among the endless expanses of green and vineyards. As soon as you arrive you will be welcomed by the two owners, who, with the utmost willingness to answer your every question, will show you the different organically farmed rows on a guided tour. The visit continues inside the winery where the different winemaking methods and the bottling process will be explained to you. It concludes with a tasting of 3 of their own wines: a basic Taurasi DOCG, an Aglianico DOC, and a Grecomusc IGP. The wines will be served at the right temperature and with all the tools, which makes the tasting suitable for both professionals and wine lovers. Needless to say anything about the excellence of their Taurasi, but their Grecomusc deserves a special mention, which turned out to be a fantastic surprise with a characteristic smoky aftertaste. A 5-glass experience and definitely to be repeated. I'll conclude with a piece of advice for anyone who wants to undertake this experience: contact the owners to get directions on how to reach the place, as the GPS will make you take immense and useless detours.
