5 Best Vibe for Wine Tasting (Maria)I loved my experience at Adego do Vulcao! Not only was the location in the premier spot amongst the legendary vineyards of Pico recognized by UNESCo but the winery was an amazing place to sit and sip great wine! It’s a beautiful historic location and the wine was the best of my three other spots on the island!

5 Excellent experience (Saverio)A beautiful, old wine cellar with an adjoining garden where we tasted four different traditional local wines: two whites, one rosé, and one red. The sommelier was very thorough in explaining the history of the winery and showing us the historical artifacts of production during a brief tour of the facility. During the tasting, a small platter of artisanal cheeses is served, which pairs very well. The price seems very reasonable for the experience.

3 Wine tasting (Sara)We really liked the wine, but the explanation was very basic and with little enthusiasm. We were a little disappointed because the place was beautiful, but they barely explained anything to us, neither about the site nor how it's cultivated, and the guide was not very dynamic or enthusiastic. It's a very good activity in terms of value for money, but too simple and basic for what they propose in the ad.

3 5-wine tasting (Véronique)The welcome, very good. The presentation was interesting. We were disappointed we couldn't visit the facilities, which were under construction. The tasting was pleasant. But the €25 price would have deserved an accompaniment (olives, cheeses, toasts). I would not recommend this activity. It's worth noting that cellar tastings in France are never paid for. This typically French culture surely influences our opinion.
