About Winery and Wines

Two different "Terroirs" for Alsace Frey-Sohler:

- "Graves" soil, which gives very fruity and fine wines

- Granit Soil called "Rittersberg" with mineral wines, and very long-keeping wines.

You can find different parcels of this estate on the Orientation Table with the European flag, and on the wine road where they produce their famous Cremant Riesling!

These two types of soil are very filtering and never experience excess water.

- A first word about the Cremants: a large selection of Cremants d'Alsace with: Cremant Blanc de Blancs, Riesling (specialty), Riesling Old Vintage, Cremant Rose, Cremant Emotion, and Blanc de Noirs. This time, 4 of these Cremants have a Gold or a Silver Medal.

- Scherwiller ( Village Appellation with obligatory 100% Riesling grape variety): a very famous Riesling, which is very different from all Rieslings you can find on the wine road: a delicious Muscat nose, a citrus palate, and a dry mouth are the identity of the wine. With this time a Gold Medal at the Mondial of the white wines at Strasbourg 2025.

- Brise d'Ete®: a delicious, fruity, dry, and thirst-quenching for this special rose summer wine.

- Fleur de Granit: a great red Pinot Noir wine, from the wonderful granitic soil of the Rittersberg. Aged in wood barrels, this wine shows you that we know how to make great red wines in Alsace.

- Riesling Rittersberg: the Giant of the estate: A beautiful Gold color, a fine nose with a beautiful minerality, licorice, white flowers, with a very long perception. Great wine that ages beautifully!

- Grand Cru Frankstein: This Gewurztraminer exalted a wonderful fragrance of roses, of flowers, and exotic fruits. It's a large wine on the palate, with a beautiful and fine balance and very long in the mouth.
