Azienda agricola Giacomo Costa
About the Winery
The Giacomo Costa winery is rooted in more than sixty years of history, born from the passion and tireless work of Giacomo, the grandfather, who was the first to believe in the strength of this land and in the value of viticulture.
Today, the winery continues to grow thanks to the commitment of the second generation, Rinaldo and Gabriella, who have preserved and expanded the family’s legacy, carrying forward a vision built on authenticity, respect for the land, and artisanal care in winemaking.
Alongside them, the third generation, represented by Giacomo, a young enologist, brings enthusiasm, expertise, and a contemporary perspective to the family tradition. His presence unites innovation and heritage, giving new energy to the winery’s future.
In the heart of the Roero, a territory with a unique winegrowing vocation, Giacomo Costa produces wines that reflect the character of its hills: elegance, aromatic finesse, and strong identity. Each label is crafted from carefully tended vineyards and respectful winemaking, expressing the richness of this extraordinary land.
About the Wines
The Giacomo Costa winery aims to express the Roero through authentic, distinctive wines rooted in the region’s historic grape varieties.
Roero Arneis – A true symbol of the Roero, our Arneis offers aromatic finesse, fruity notes, and balanced freshness. An elegant white wine that reflects the purity of the variety and the richness of the Roero’s sandy soils.
Barbera d’Alba Superiore (wood-aged) – Our Barbera grows into an intense, full-bodied expression. After aging in wood, it develops depth, smoothness, and complexity while preserving its natural vibrancy. A warm, characterful red wine.
Nebbiolo d’Alba (wood-aged) – Nebbiolo from the Roero, aged in wood to refine its structure and soften its tannins, reveals elegance, delicate red fruit aromas, and subtle spice. A refined wine that combines tradition with artisanal care.
Langhe Dolcetto (stainless steel only) – Vinified exclusively in stainless steel to preserve its fragrance, our Dolcetto is fresh, straightforward, and genuine. An easy-drinking, everyday red that embodies authenticity.
Arneis Sparkling Wine – Martinotti Method – From the natural freshness of Arneis comes a lively, modern sparkling wine. The Martinotti method enhances its fruity notes and vibrant character, making it ideal as an aperitif or for informal toasts.
Rosé of Barbera and Nebbiolo – Crafted from two iconic Piedmont varieties, this rosé is elegant, fragrant, and delicately colored. Fresh, well-balanced, and versatile, it surprises with finesse and drinkability.
